More than 200 children were able to jump, clamber and slide together on the air and bouncy castles in De Schulpwei. For the older children there was even a large obstacle course and sports clinics were given. In the morning there was also a puppet theater performance. The performance was a great success among those present, including Het Bruglokaal.<\/p>\n
During the autumn holidays, on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, the fourth edition of Extraordinary Games took place in the Schulpwei sports hall. This sports and play day originated from an idea that emerged in the core group of the sports and prevention agreement ‘Fit in Wassenaar’. The aim of this event is to give children from different neighborhoods a fun day and to entice them to get moving, where meeting each other is of course also central: everyone participates! In addition to the fact that moving, playing and exercising together creates a connection between children, this also develops among the adults present. People from other neighborhoods meet each other and that is nice to see: ‘Together one Wassenaar’.
In the afternoon, two handball clinics were organized by the trainers of handball club Olympia ’72. These lessons were divided into two ages: 4 to 8 years and 9 to 14 years. This once again turned out to be a good move, because both classes were full and more than 20 children participated. At the end of the afternoon, Youth Work Wassenaar also started working on football for the older children; a football circuit with fun games and a real speed goal that measured how hard you could kick the ball! We look back on a cool and very successful Extraordinary Games Day.<\/p>\n
