Based on the sports and prevention agreement Fit in Wassenaar, St. Jan Baptist School participated in the ‘Healthy schoolyard’ project. Through this project and the subsidy, the school was able to purchase a beautiful Freeplayer Ulitmate package. With this we encourage versatile exercise and exercise together, themes of Fit in Wassenaar. We play basketball, korfball, football, tennis, volleyball and badminton. The children are very happy with this!<\/p>\n
The goal of St. John Baptist School is to encourage exercise and playing together on the square. The varied range of play materials gives children more options and encourages them to play and exercise. In this way, children become more motor skilled in a playful way, they work on the exercise guidelines and their collective creativity is activated. This is in line with the ambition ‘Young and skilled in exercise’ from the sports and prevention agreement Fit in Wassenaar and the theme Versatile exercise and Exercise together.<\/p>\n
Almost half of the children in the Netherlands do not exercise enough (CBS, 2021). Children sit for hours a day, even at school, and play outside less.
