Successful Reverse Thinking Meeting for the Core Group Volunteers of the Future

Since October, a special group of young volunteers has been working on a project around ‘Volunteer work in the future’. This project is from the Volunteer Central Wassenaar. In this context, a pleasant dinner was arranged last week, which also included a ‘Rethinking’ clinic. The clinic was financed by the local Sports and Prevention Agreement Fit in Wassenaar.

None other than Beer Gunster was present at the clinic in the Van Heeckerenhuis. His father, Berthold Gunster, is the founder of the now well-known concept of ‘rethinking’. A way of thinking that can be learned and creates a lot of positivity. For example, the ‘yes, but’ was tackled and transformed into a firm ‘yes’. The most important thing that was learned is that rethinking is not just about ‘tackling a problem’, but about letting the problem be the solution! Various themes were discussed such as desire versus expectation and assignments carried out.

This evening was once again a successful get-together for this group of volunteers who will soon be heard from more. For example, they are working on creating a guide to provide tips and advice to boards of foundations and associations about finding and retaining volunteers, and a discussion evening is being organized on April 21 about ‘Volunteer work in the future’.
