On Wednesday evening, June 12, the club supporters of Fit in Wassenaar cordially invite all sports clubs to come together while enjoying a snack and a drink from 6:15 PM – 9:30 PM. At this meeting, Sports Alderman Laurens van Doeveren will kick off the evening. This is followed by an introduction to Wesley Bierens and Dirk Wils (Club Support Staff) from Fit in Wassenaar. Daniel Klijn, director of the Register for Association Directors, will also take those present through his story.
This evening is all about an introduction in combination with taking the first steps towards a sportier and healthier Wassenaar!
Daniel Klijn will discuss the profession of management in 2024. Topics/questions that will be raised include: How do you strengthen the board? How do you make an association future-proof? How can you innovate/how do you keep your board modern and young at heart? How do you respond to developments? How do you keep track of opportunities and threats? How do you tackle issues such as an aging population, a shortage of volunteers or finances? What is the role of the board within the association? Practical examples will naturally be presented during the session and discussions. The aim is to give people insight into what governance is and how, as a director, you can arrive at modern policy and its proper implementation. In addition, Daniel will also discuss current trends and developments that are relevant to associations.
