Fit in Wassenaar participated in the Group Training ‘Dealing PROPERLY with dementia’ with fall prevention specialist Soraya.
The group training ‘Dealing with dementia PROPERLY’ is an important initiative organized by Alzheimer Nederland in collaboration with the municipality of Wassenaar. This training offers an accessible way to recognize dementia and deal with people with dementia as a professional working in the municipality of Wassenaar. Because Fit in Wassenaar has many contacts with older residents, this was a valuable addition and we contribute to a dementia-friendly society.
It is essential that we, as a local care and welfare network, exercise providers and residents, know how we can make people with dementia feel safe and welcome in our village. By recognizing signals more quickly and connecting correctly, we ensure that everyone can continue to participate in our community for as long as possible. Fit in Wassenaar means vital aging!
