Dry January, the alcohol-free month

Many people unconsciously take it for granted to drink one or more glasses of alcohol per day. Dry January is a personal challenge to break this pattern. Participants experience for themselves what a month without alcohol can do to them. Many participants in the campaign indicated that they had experienced positive (physical) changes in recent years: they felt fitter, slept better and/or lost weight. It is an accessible way to become more aware of your health. When? The promotion starts in 2026 on Monday, January 1. Why Dry January? Taking a break from alcohol has a surprising number of benefits. Click here for more information about the app. Growing up in a Promising Environment (OKO) and Dry January, also in sports Why Dry January suits OKO? OKO encourages healthy choices. Dry January is in line with this by temporarily reducing alcohol consumption, which contributes to a healthier lifestyle. And you set a good example to young people, also at the sports club. As a sports club you can also participate in this campaign. How? By offering various 0.0% beer and other non-alcoholic drinks. Make sure you have something to choose from for the athletes. And do some extra advertising for 0.0%. There are also various posters that you can hang in the canteen/clubhouse. In short, make it easier for your athletes to choose 0.0%.
