Being healthy not only means that you know how your body works and what it needs to be healthy, but also that you apply this knowledge as best as possible to make the best decisions to achieve and maintain that health. Fortunately, most people know what the healthy choice is, but doing so is sometimes more difficult. Fortunately, you don’t have to change your entire life immediately to feel fitter. Small changes in your lifestyle can have an effect on your resistance within a few weeks. With better resistance you usually feel fitter and you are often better protected against pathogens.

Fit your way!

Keeping moving is one of the most important ways to reduce the risk of falling. Medisch Contact (trade magazine for doctors) indicates that Dutch elderly people sit more than 10 hours a day. More than any other age group. So time to get moving! This can be done by going to the gym, playing walking football or cycling. Walking, housework or gardening are also good forms of exercise.
